A Central Coast woman has become an overnight millionaire after coming forward to claim the mystery lotto ticket that has been ownerless for two weeks.
The Erina woman became a newly minted multi-millionaire, claiming a cool $2.14 million in the Saturday Lotto draw.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so happy! I can’t stop jogging on the spot,” she told The Lott.
“I went to check some old lottery tickets today, and for each one it kept saying, ‘No win, no win’. Then I scanned the very last one I had and at first I thought it said I’d won $2,000!”
“I was already excited about $2,000, but then the store team member told me to contact The Lott, and here we are now.”
Despite The Lott’s efforts to find her, the Erina woman has been blissfully unaware – “I had absolutely no idea” – for two weeks..
“What a shock. I now have to continue working and I don’t know how I’m going to concentrate,” she added.
The new multi-millionaire revealed her initial plans for the prize, beginning with a visit to the optometrist and the orthodontist.
“I can get new glasses and fix my teeth. I’m also sick of renting, so I’ll be buying a house! It’s so exciting,” the Erina woman shared.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Nextra Erina Market, with manager Katy McHugh telling The Lott she was over the moon.
“We’re so happy to hear our division one winner has now checked their ticket and discovered their $2.14 million; what a dream come true for them,” McHugh said.
