Delays could add an extra hour to your commute time.
After a fabulous three-day long weekend, we can bet that almost everyone said the words “if only I could have another hour before I have to go back to work”. Well, for those travelling to or from Sydney or Newcastle today – you’ve had that wish granted.
Major delays are affecting the T1 Northern Line and the Central Coast and Newcastle Line due to extended trackwork, with the possibility of buses replacing trains if the delays continue.
These delays are affecting the following routes:
City to Epping via Strathfield
Epping to City via Strathfield
Central to Newcastle via Strathfield or Gordon
Newcastle to Central via Strathfield or Gordon.
Transport NSW is asking commuters to listen to all announcements, and check indicator boards as stopping patterns may change.
Well, at least you’ve got another hour to recover from Australia Day before your work week starts.
