Our mighty Matildas are set to make history tonight as they face off in their first ever FIFA Women’s World Cup Semi Final against the English Lionesses.
So, it’s safe to say office conversation is going to drift to “Are you watching the Tillies game?” and “Where are you going to watch it?” today.
Don’t worry if you’re unsure of where to watch the Matildas because we’ve got you covered with plenty of pubs, clubs and other venues across the Central Coast.
Gosford RSL has painted the place green and gold and will have the game playing throughout the club while they serve ‘Kerr-boom’ cocktails and Aussie schnitty specials all from 5:30pm.
Gosford’s Railway Hotel, Hotel Gosford and Drifter’s Wharf will also have the game live and loud throughout their venues.
The Davo will be broadcasting the game on the big screen from kick off at 8pm.
Meanwhile, Terrigal Surf Club will be throwing open the doors from 6pm, with fans encouraged to head on down to the club wearing plenty of green and gold of course.

Mingara Recreation Club is broadcasting the game on forty TV screens throughout the club, with Legend’s Taphouse the place to be in the club for the atmosphere.
All the clubs within the Wyong Leagues Club Group will also be broadcasting the game throughout their venues including:
- Avoca Beach Bowling & Recreation Club
- Bateau Bay Bowling Club
- Budgewoi Soccer Club
- Canton Beach Sports Club
- Wallarah Bay Recreation Club
- Wyong Bowling Club
- Wyong Rugby League Club
If you’re a little further north on the Central Coast, then Norah Head Sporties is the place to be to watch the Matildas vs England game, which will be broadcast in the Main Lounge area. Oh, and they also have wings starting from $1.
The Doylo will have the historic semi-final live and loud on the big screen in the Beer Garden tonight (August 16) from 8pm.
Toukley’s The Ary has also confirmed the game will be broadcasted throughout the club.
Of course, there are plenty of other fabulous venues across the Central Coast broadcasting the game so be sure to check with your local for more details.
Now we know what you’re thinking. Why isn’t there a Matilda’s live site at Industree Group Stadium?
Well, it actually has to do with our enemy, sorry we mean ‘opponents’ tonight – the English Lionesses – who have been using the Central Coast as a base for the duration of the tournament.
Central Coast Council has confirmed that due to the Lioness’s exclusive use of the stadium as their team training camp, they are unable to open the stadium to the public to watch.
However, in a Facebook post Council confirmed that if the Matilda’s win they’re working with Industree Group Stadium to arrange a family-friendly live viewing site for Sunday’s final.
Of course, you can also catch the game from the comfort of your own home on Channel 7 and 7Plus from 7pm.
That only leaves us with one thing to say… let’s go Matildas!
