Who knew!

Bacon. We love it. We put it on sandwiches, in pastas, and on burgers. Hell, we’ve even been known to put it on a doughnut with some maple frosting.

We thought it we knew all there was to know about bacon, but it turns out that we were seriously wrong.

According to reports by The Sun, we’ve been cooking the delicious meat all wrong! So, what do we need to do to rectify the situation?

Add water.

Yep, you read that right. According to The Sun, we should be adding water to the pan to get the perfect crispy rasher every time.

The cooks at The Sun put the bacon rashers in a non-stick pan, and added “just enough water to cover the bottom of the pan” before cooking on medium-high heat until the water completely evaporates. They then reduced the heat to medium to allow the bacon to really crisp up.

Tests showed that the water doesn’t only give the bacon an added crunch, but it also stops the fat from splattering out of the pan!

BRB testing this out.
