While many of us are biting our nails while Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump fight linger around the big red button, one man has decided to use Valentine’s Day to poke fun at the international feud.
Florida man, Eddie Gines built a massive fourteen foot ‘’Intercontinental Ballistic Love Missile” to parody North Korea’s Internationa Ballistic Missile (ICBM), a weapon capable of carrying a nuclear warehead.
‘Cupid 1’, as it has been named, sits on Gines front lawn covered with Valentine’s Day hearts and cupid details. Inside a box near to the weapon of mass love are copies of the rockets ‘love manifesto’, complete with “love action ideas”: smile often; befriend neighbours; plant a tree; be there for someone.
The manifesto reads:
“’Imagine a neighbourhood, a community, a country, a world where love permeates all beings and things. Together we can make that a reality.”
Gines states that his idea came after realising humans already had a powerful weapon:
“Really, we have a powerful weapon already that would wipe out the weapons of mass destruction. And that’s love. We each have the capacity to be love and share love, and an endless supply within our hearts and souls to share that.”
Three cheers for Eddie Gines!
