The Central Coast Mariners have announced treble-winning coaches Mark Jackson and Danny Schofield will remain with the team after signing a new multi-year deal.

The coaching duo have signed on for three more years, keeping the pair on the Central Coast until 2027.

Jackson and Schofield joined the team just before the commencement of the 23/24 A-League season and led the club to a historic treble.

The pair coached the team to secure the first Premier’s Plate for the club since 2012, followed by the AFC Cup which was the Mariners’ first ever Asian continental title and only the second in Australian club history – travelling over 100,000kms across the globe to secure the win.

The coaching duo then led the Central Coast Mariners to a grand final win at Our Paradise (AKA Industree Group Stadium) to complete the treble.

The historic night saw the team run away 3-1 winners over Melbourne Victory in front of 21,000 fans.

In a statement, Jackson said he is delighted to have extended his time with the club, but his focus is now turning to the upcoming season.

“I am delighted to be able to extend my time here on the Central Coast alongside Danny Schofield. We had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve when we arrived, we worked extremely hard with the rest of the staff to achieve that last season and we want to continue to build on that,” Jackson said.

“We want to continue to develop the players and team to be a club that everyone on the Coast can be proud of. We did that last season, giving the fans a lot to cheer about, and it is our job to do that again.”
