Mark your calendars ‘cause The Lakes Festival is set to make a splash for 2024 when it returns to the region early next month.

If you haven’t heard of this festival before, then let us bring you up to speed.

The Lakes Festival is a 10-day celebration of the Central Coast waterways with the event program to feature exciting family-friendly activities, and cultural and educational programs hosted by local organisations and businesses.

Taking place from Friday, November 8, 2024, to Sunday, November 17, 2024, The Lakes Festival is a fantastic opportunity for Central Coast residents to get out and about, rediscover places right on our doorsteps and celebrate the diverse lakes and waterways in our beautiful region.

The night will see some of Australia’s best comedians come together for a night of laughs with a celebration of non-stop comedy with an amazing line-up of Australia’s funniest stars, homegrown legends and next-big-things in comedy.

The popular event will be even bigger in 2024, with more than 30 free events set to be held right across the Central Coast at:

  • Killcare

Family favourite Light Up The Lake will kick off The Lakes Festival festivities, taking place at Memorial Park, The Entrance on Saturday, November 9, 2024 4pm-9pm.

Light Up The Lake will be headlined by Boo Seeka, who will be joined by BELLA AMOR, RAAVE Tapes, False London and Daytrip.

The fun doesn’t stop there, with fun activities, licensed areas, roving performers, and fantastic food, followed by fireworks display that will literally Light Up The Lake, brought to you by Halekulani Bowling Club!

The Lakes Festival Comedy Gala is back again, set to take place on Sunday, November 10, 2024. It is promised to be a jam-packed, 90min show, a celebration of non-stop comedy with an amazing line-up of Australia’s funniest stars, homegrown legends and next-big-things in comedy

The lineup for the jam-packed 90-minute show includes Chopper, Ivan Aristuguetta, Aaron Gocs and more!

The Lakes Festival organisers recommend planning your festival itinerary ahead of time as some events require bookings, so make sure you’ve checked their dedicated pages to secure your spot.

Catching public transport is strongly encouraged, with some key roads around events expected to be affected.

Central Coast Council encourages everyone to stick to the speed limits and expect some delays with increased traffic. Oh, and car parking will be available at each location.
