An absolute noughties classic is being shown!
Spring has sprung, and so have the good times with free outdoor movie nights happening right across the Central Coast this month. And yes, you’re invited.
Central Coast Council together with Love Central Coast are inviting the community to experience the magic of twilight cinemas with family-favourite Shark Tale at four locations.
It all starts this Friday, September 6, 2024 at The Entrance’s Memorial Park, with the fun then taking over Toukley’s The Village Green the following evening on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
The following weekend will be Gosford’s turn with Kibble Park transforming an outdoor cinema on Friday, September 13, 2024 followed by the iconic Chapman Building Lawn on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Now for the important details.
Fun and games kick off at 4pm with a variety of activities to enjoy at each location. We’re talking circus performers, face painting and lawn games. Face painted, settle in and find a spot ‘cause Shark Tale kicks off at 6pm.
The outdoor cinema night is free, with a BYO picnic rug recommended as there is limited seating and picnic rugs provided on the night.
Attendees can also support local food vendors at each movie night location. For the planners amongst us, you can peruse the Love Central Coast Eating Out Guides for recommendations on local eateries here.
Council Director of Community and Recreation Services Melanie Smith said the outdoor movie nights have been designed to unite the community by bringing families and friends together for a fantastic evening of film, fun and local flavour.
“We invite you to come along to The Entrance, Toukley, Gosford, or Wyong events, grab dinner or some takeaway, set up a picnic, sit down under the night sky and enjoy an evening of entertainment,” Ms Smith said.
