No tacos lovers, we’re not pulling your leg. Guzman Y Gomez (GYG) is opening a brand new location on the Central Coast, and we’ve got all the deets.
The brand new home of tacos and burritos will be located on the peninsula’s Umina Beach, more specifically 297 West Street.
A spokesperson for GYG confirmed the fantastic news to yours truly – Star 104.5 – saying that they are on a mission to show the Umina Beach community what is possible with good food.
“There’s nothing team GYG love doing more than opening new restaurants. GYG Umina is expected to open mid this year,” a GYG spokesperson said in a statement.
“GYG is on a mission to reinvent fast food because we genuinely believe that fast food doesn’t have to be bad food. We’re excited to show local community that it’s possible to serve good food, fast, without compromising on quality or nutrition.”
The new restaurant will also stimulate the local economy, with plenty of job openings currently being advertised according to GYG’s spokesperson.

The latest GYG location joins several locations across the Central Coast, including Erina’s Fountain Plaza as well as drive-thru locations at Lake Haven and more recently at, Tuggerah.
