A GoFundMe has been launched to support the children of a couple who tragically lost their lives at Frazer Beach last week.
Emergency services were called to Frazer Beach late last week, following reports two people had been pulled from the water unresponsive.
Witnesses commenced CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, however, the couple – Kathryn and Matthew – sadly could not be revived.
In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe has now been launched for the couple’s three children with 100% of the money raised going “towards ongoing care and support” .
Kathryn and Matthew’s 9-year-old has a severe disability, meaning he has to be monitored and cared for 24/7.
Their five-year-old daughter has autism and is nonverbal. Matthew’s 13-year-old daughter is suffering from the heartbreaking loss of her father and needs to be supported as well according to the family’s GoFundMe.
The extended family are hoping the GoFundMe will help keep the children together as they continue to deal with the tragedy.
At the time of writing, the GoFundMe had a goal of $50,000 with just over $6,000 raised. Donations to the GoFundMe for Kathryn and Matthew’s family can be made here.
The family are also appealing for tradespeople to help with repairs to the family’s home with a bathroom modification, hallway widening, and wall replacement required.
If you are a tradesperson who can help, then you are encouraged to contact Sarah via admin@infinitepossibilitiesot.com for more details.
