Bunnings Warehouse

The saga continues!

Since Bunnings sausage sizzle saga began last week, it’s caused more outrage than the plastic bag ban and the ball tampering scandal put together. It just goes to show that us Aussies are fiercely protective of our Saturday sausage sandwich.

It all began when Bunnings announced that it would now be putting onions at the bottom of the sandwich after a customer slipped and fell on a piece of onion, resulting in national outrage.

Customers came forward to tell their onion-slipping story, with more than one person now dealing with lifelong injuries as a result of the vegetable-induced fall.

However, many customers weren’t satisfied with the change, leading to a strange event being organised on Facebook.

The event asks people to gather at Bunnings Chatswood Warehouse, throw onion on the ground and all slip on it together.

“Throwing your onion on the ground at Bunnings then slipping” is set to take place on December 15th as a means of protesting the “disgrace of reordering the snags at Bunnings”.

Nearly 8000 people have said that they would attend, with another 30,000 marked as “interested”.

Whether or not this Facebook event will actually take place is yet to be seen.

Bunnings is yet to respond to the event.
