A Central Coast suburb has been named amongst the top destinations for tourists to flock to over the long weekend according to one accommodation provider.
Accommodation provider Airbnb has crunched the numbers and found that tourists are seeking out an endless summer, searching for beach and beachfront stays.
The Central Coast suburb of Avoca Beach has been named amongst the top destinations to book a holiday rental this Easter long weekend, joining the likes of Queensland’s Moreton Island, Victoria’s Blairgowrie and our Hunter neighbours, Anna Bay.
Airbnb’s Susan Wheeldon said more and more holidaymakers are opting for rentals that can house several groups.
“One of the benefits Airbnb offers is allowing families and group travellers to have the space, amenities and privacy for a truly relaxing break,” Wheeldon told Nine Travel.
“With affordability an ongoing consideration for many travellers, not only are the trending categories of camping, cabins and private rooms unsurprising, splitting the cost of a luxe home between several groups can make that dream beach house with a private pool a reality for many this Easter.”
Internationally this Easter, Airbnb has seen Aussies searching out the perfect spot to relax in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.
Across the ditch in New Zealand, Wākaka and Christchurch are proving to be popular destinations.
Bali’s South Kuta and Hong Kong are also popular destinations for Aussies this long weekend.
