The Central Coast Mariners Women’s team have secured a historic semi-final berth, securing a home game to take place on the Central Coast this weekend.
The team secured the win after a nail biting elimination final, winning on penalties against Melbourne Victory.
The emphatic win marks a history first for the Emily Husband-led side, becoming the first Mariners Women’s side to enter the finals.
The win means the Central Coast Mariners Women’s team will now face off against Sydney FC in the first leg of the semi finals at Industree Group Stadium this Sunday, April 21.
The Mariners women’s team will follow on from the Men’s team, who are set to face off against Adelaide United in the final regular home game of the Isuzu A-League Men’s season at Industree Group Stadium in what is now going to be a huge double header.
The Men’s team will take to the pitch from 3pm, with the Women’s game to follow directly after, kicking off at 5:45pm.
