Brace yourself dearest gentle readers, because streaming giant Netflix has confirmed the cast for season four of Bridgerton and some major fan favourites are missing.

Netflix confirmed season four of the steamy romance show has started production, with the steamy romance set to turn its focus to “bohemian second son Benedict. Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother’s masquerade ball.”

Luke Thompson will portray Benedict Bridgerton, while Koren-Australian actress Yerin Ha will portray the Lady in Silver, Sophie Baek, who has undergone a name change to reflect Ha’s heritage.

Ha is not the only newcomer, with Harry Potter’s Cho Chang AKA Katie Leung joining the cast as Lady Araminta Gun, a mother on a mission to marry off one of her daughters on this season’s marriage mart according to TUDUM.

The daughters in question will be portrayed by Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li, Araminta’s eldest daughter who has a crush on Benedict Bridgerton and just like her mother, Rosamund is determined to get what she wants.

Isabella Wei will play Amarita’s younger daughter Posy Li, Rosamund’s younger, kinder whose chatty, overly friendly demeanour often has her putting her foot in her mouth.

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to some fan favourites with Netflix confirming we’re bidding farewell to Kate Bridgerton (Simone Ashley), Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) as well as the Featherington sisters Prudence (Bessie Carer) and Phillipha (Harriet Cains).

But all is not lost, with Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) and Lady Whistledown (Julie Andrews) among the returning cast.

No word yet on when we will see Bridgerton on our screens, with showrunner Jess Brownell previously confirming to The Hollywood Reporter the earliest we could see the hit Netflix show is 2026.

The most recent season of the hit show followed fan favourite couple ‘Polin’ comprised of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.

Season one to three of the hit show plus prequel Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story are all currently available to stream on Netflix.
