Australia’s most popular suburbs for buyers have been named, with one Central Coast locale making the cut.

Leading property site realestate.com.au has revealed its top ten most popular suburbs for April 2024, with the Central Coast suburb of Springfield reppin’ the coast/popping up/shining bright.

The Central Coast suburb placed ninth on the list, with a median house price of $917,000 and proximity to Sydney contributing to its placement.

Springfield joined the likes of Melbourne’s Middle Park and eight suburbs from South Australia including Hawthorn and Mile End.

The news comes off the back of further data from PropTrack via realestate.com.au, which showed property prices in almost every Central Coast suburb have grown in recent months.

The post-pandemic boom has caused a once-in-a-lifetime property boom, causing prices to surge in three popular Central Coast suburbs.

Property prices in Copacabana are up 89%, Long Jetty up 79% and the beachside suburb North Avoca has risen 76% according to realestate.com.au.

Experts believe the Central Coast’s sense of community, easy access to the beach and of course, Sydney housing prices and availability have contributed to the surge.
