Let’s save some money!
Window cleaner
Mix together ½ teaspoon of cheap hair shampoo, 3 tablespoons of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Pour into a spray bottle and go nuts on your windows! Here’s another tip – use newspaper instead of cloths or paper towels to wipe to prevent little bits of dust from transferring.
Laundry powder
Toss together 1 bar of grated soap, 1 cup of washing soda and ½ cup of borax. Make sure to store it in an air tight container. Use 3 teaspoons of mixture for your top loader, and one for your front loader. So easy!
All-purpose cleaner
For a beautifully scented cleaner, mix ½ cup of white vinegar with 1 cup of water, and add in essential oils of your choice! We recommend trying lavender – it’s a smell everyone will recognise and will instantly calm you down.
Dishwashing liquid
Melt ¼ cup of soap flakes in 2 cups of hot water. Let the mixture cool until tepid, then pop in ¼ cup of glycerine and your favourite smelling essential oil. As it cools down, the mixture will form into a gel – and BAM! You’ve got yourself some dishwashing liquid!
Carpet Deodoriser
This is probably the simplest of the product! All you need is 1 cup of bicarb soda and your favourite essential oils. Sift the bicarb soda well, pour into a container and pop a few drops of oil in with it. Seal the container, and give it a good old shake! Sprinkle the mixture over your carpet, leave for an hour, then vacuum. You’ll be shocked at the results!
